WRITE IT LIKE IT IS

If you’ve ever wanted to write about your life freely, without censors, editors, or critics, now is your chance. Experience the exhilaration of tapping in to your authentic voice. No holds barred. No worries about publication or perfection. It’s all about letting go and having fun in a nonjudgmental, creative atmosphere.

In each workshop or group meeting, we'll do several freewriting exercises in response to specific prompts about life experiences, past and present. Sharing is optional but encouraged. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you’ll discover new avenues for self-expression and creativity through writing. Bring pens and a notebook, or a laptop if you prefer. Handouts and resource lists will be distributed.

Note: You may take the workshop without enrolling in the weekly group, and you may join the group without having taken the workshop.

To reserve a spot in the weekly groups, please send $100 deposit to the above address. Balance due at first meeting.

Full refund available if you cancel within a week of the start date. After that, a $40 administrative fee is applied. Sorry, no prorated slots and no credit cards accepted at this time.

Deborah Sosin, LICSW, has facilitated dozens of groups for adults and teens and has been on the clinical faculty of three Boston-area graduate social work schools. Her clients and students describe her as warm and creative, with an incisive yet gentle style. Debbie is a staff clinician at Sameem Associates in Newton and has a private practice. She has taught Write It Like It Is at the Arlington Center and the Cambridge Center for Adult Education.
